Craftsman
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for the best of the best to fill immediate positions on our team of Craftsmen. If you are a rockstar with a paint brush, can turn raw chunks of wood into unique pieces of art, or you thrive in the creative problem solving that only restoring historical architecture can bring, then keep reading. If you truly believe (not corporate buzzwords) in teamwork and never want to stop growing in your craft, then you are the kind of person we want to meet!
Who are we? We are Austin Historical, a diverse group of talented people on a mission to restore America’s built environment. You’ll be traveling to historic landmarks and homes all around Florida and beyond in small towns and big cities; then, you’ll come back home working in our Orlando shop the other half of the time to restore vintage windows and doors on some truly incredible buildings.
It’s hard work, don’t be mistaken. Scraping paint, repairing rot and other damage, restoring history in time tested techniques most people have never learned; but don’t worry, we’ll teach you the specifics of how we restore things if you don’t already know them.
You can trust that at the end of the day you’ll be tired, but completely satisfied in putting in a hard day’s work restoring our history one piece at a time as you see the fruits of your labor in the beautifully restored buildings that you played a pivotal role in saving!
This is a full time hourly position with a range of $15.00 to $32.00 an hour, depending on experience (windows/doors, painting, and/or carpentry background is preferred).
